The Rollong Stones - what is there to say? I haven't listened to any of their newest records in a while, but of course absolutely love their classics, which is why I thought: Why not give the boys and their latest record a spin? Well, they've been going for 60 years and this still sounds fresh, at times positively angry & rebellious (e.g. "Angry" or "Bite my Head off") and utterly energetic. If you didn't know it was The Stones - you'd think this were upcoming youngsters! This is one very fine rock and roll record and it's incredible (if you compare him to his peers) that Mick has kept his voice as intact as it is. Keep it up, boys - this is some fine music!
Standout tracks: the utterly catchy "Whole Wide World", the very cozy "Dreamy Skies", the minimalistic (as is the norm with Keith tracks) "Tell Me Straight", the stripped down cover of Muddy Water's "Rolling Stone Blues"
