New year, same procedure. January has the added benefit of starting the year tax-free (in Germany, you have the tiny amount of 1000€ a year for tax-free realized gains or dividends). Unfortunately, I will not be able to benefit from that much longer, as I will have used up that amount surely by mid-March. The downside to January is that work reaches its peak with parent-teacher talks and conferences, barely giving me the time to check in on my portfolio. Looking back on it, it seems like all was good as it climbed almost 2.8%.
I was also very distracted by my plans for the future, but until I have confirmation that it really is going to work out as I want it to, I think it's best to keep quiet. But - fingers crossed - possibly big changes loom ahead ....
Teasing aside, January was a good month when it comes to dividends. In total, I collected 597,24€ from 37 stocks or funds.
