Dividend Update: May 25

It has been a busy and also not all too pleasant month: Work is crazy busy; my health has let me down a bit lately and I can't be as active as I want to; and I feel like every endeavour I can only do half-ass as time is slipping away from me. It feels like juggling too many balls at the same time - it's still working now, but barely, and you know it's going to stop working soon.

The organization and logistics required for my move in August are so much more bothersome, tedious and nerve-wrecking than I imagined (German bureaucracy is no joke!) and it's zapping a lot of my energy.

The saving grace is that apart from a (often only cursory glance) at the latest earnings, my portfolio can do just fine on autopilot for weeks and months as it did this month and I have to say, sitting here now in a rare moment of peace and quiet licking my wounds and counting my dividends, it's a) something of a relief to know that if I already wanted to cut back without any loss in income, that would be possible, but also b) somewhat daunting to think about how far one would still need to go if one wanted to achieve FIRE (be it slim or fat fire).

Still, this month, pushed up by those juicy once-a-year dividends from German companies, has been (on the dividend side) a good month. In total, I collected 735,99€ in dividends from 37 stocks and/or funds. This is my 3rd best month ever. My best month, mind you, was last year in June. I hope to surpass this one this month even though all investments are put on hold in June and July as I'm saving up cash for my move in August, which I will surely need.
