May was a very good month in many respects. The first one is that I finally got to go to Galápagos and let me tell you, it was awesome. Seeing those sea lions close by "walking" in the streets or lying on park benches like citizens from the village was truly incredible. Even more fun was being in the water snorkeling with all the animals as we got to see sea lions, sharks, sea turtles and sting rays up close. It is a truly mesmerizing place and I had a great time there with the kids that I supervised. I can't wait to go back there with my better half and do it all over again and see also a few more islands (this time we were on two islands). Below I'll attach a couple of pictures.

May was also a good month as it always is one of my most cash-rich months and the same turned out to be true this year as I marked a new record and once again collected more than 1K in dividends. In total, I collected a stunning 1308,08€ in dividends, spearheaded by the dividends from the once-a-year payers in Germany (e.g. Munich RE, Allianz, etc.).

This is the second time in a row that I crossed the 1K barrier a month and with a little luck I might even make it three in a row in June.

Finances aside, the first school year here in Ecuador is about to end and it has been flying past me, I have to say. In July, I'm going back to Germany for two weeks to visit family and friends before spending the rest of my summer holidays in South America, hoping for a few more adventures over here.

The problem is that I find booking vacations (i.e. searching flights, hotels, etc.) very tedious, but I have to get it on it soon in order to make the most of my time over here and away from work. On to the last month before the summer break!
