A well-polished, melodious and wholesome (at times bordering on corny) record on the redemptive power of love and all the joy and travail that love entails. Its esseence can perhaps best be summarized by quoting a simultaneously trivial but also profoundly true line from its closing song: "Two of us out there making friends /Instead of making war".
Blame it on the rather bleak times, but the rather upbeat & joyous songs to me are the standout tracks:
The wonderfully wholesome "Seongah and Jimmy", "Something Blue" and the gently flowing title track "Melody Road"
