Dividend Update: August 2022

Keep At It! Mirror Decal | Sighh by Polly – sighh

General Overview

... and down goes the rollercoaster again. After climbing last month and the first part of this month, the markets came down again at the end as Powell declared (as one newspaper had it) the "war on inflation" and remained adament to "keept at it". As expected, August (as are February and November, with may being the exception because of the once a year dividend from European companies) proved to be one of the lower income months. On the whole, I collected 222,94€.

  • AT&T: 8,50
  • Verizon: 8,85
  • JP Morgan: 2,91
  • Bank of Nova Scotia: 6,05
  • Apple: 5,02
  • AGNC: 4,63
  • ASML: 2,04
  • AbbVie: 10,18
  • SL Green Realty: 2,48
  • Stag Industrial: 0,44
  • National Retail Properties: 3,96
  • Kinder Morgan: 6,02
  • Main Street: 11,35
  • Omega Healthcare: 33,86
  • Realty Income: 25,12
  • SPDR Global Dividend Aristocrats ETF: 45,05
  • British American Tobacco: 8,05
  • Calamos Strategic Total Return Fund: 4,10
  • Easterly Government Properties: 3,33
  • Starbucks: 12,45
  • LTC: 2,43
  • Gladstone Commercial: 3,95
  • Arbor Realty Trust: 1,88
  • Sabra Health Care Reit: 8,97
  • Blackrock Science and Technology Trust II: 1,92
  • Cohen & Steers REIT & Preferred Income Fund: 2,70
  • Cohen&Steers Quality Realty Income Fund: 2,78

I received dividends from 27 stocks / funds with the biggest parts coming from the Global Dividend Aristocrats ETF and Omega Healthcare. On average, I received 8.25€ from every position and a daily dividend of 7.19€. As I am currently just upping the position of Arbor Realty Trust, any gains for month of November will have to come by dividend increases. From the 300€ a month I was hoping for to reach at the end of the year, I'm still a little ways off. Next up is September, in which I hope to crack 300€.

Winners & Losers

Top climbers of the month were Iron Mountain (almost 11%) and BP (9% after good earnings), the biggest losers were (again) Vonovia (-16%) and ASML (-15%). As I'm heavily in the red in these positons, I am entertaining thoughts about reupping them a bit to average down my pricey entry position.
