Dividend Update: January 2023

Geschäftliche Grußkarte'Happy New Year | Send a Smile

  General Overview

New year, new chances? That's certainly the way it seemed as the market - with no real impetus behind it (apart from the slightly falling, but still very high inflation) - climbed. My portfolio was no exception as it went up a very flattering 3,1%.

I also, by the skin of my teeth, managed to (just barely) cross the 300€ dividend treshhold I'm hoping to consistently be above this year. In total, I received 302,71€ in dividends. On the one hand, it's gratifying; on the other hand, I know that at the beginning of the year I'm still benefiting from the tax-free gains which I will have eaten up probably around March or April.

Winners & Losers

The biggest climbers this month were the ever-falling Vonovia (25% into which I had been averaging down to) and ASML (25% on very good earnings). The biggest losers were Pfizer (-16%) after very good earnings, but doubt that the profits will fall away with the "end of the pandemic" and NextEraEnergy (-14%) after subpar earnings.
