On the whole, the portfolio crept along nicely in Februrary. During the month, earnings season was in full swing with the usual mixed bag which you get with a broad portfolio. One thing that did cause a smile on my face were the massive dividend increasese by two German insurers (Allianz and MunichRe), which will pay dividends in April and May. Another thing that also stood out, albeit negatively, were the increased non-accruals by some BDCs (e.g. Oaktree Specialty Lending and even more pronounced for FS KKR Capital). If this continues to be a trend, this might a) indicate that the economy is on the whole not as good in shape as the major indexes show and b) that dividends by BDC might be under pressure. This is something to keep an eye on in the next round of earnings. With regard to dividends, Februray was (as expected) again a lowlight and most likely the worst month of the year. In total, I received a mere 272,77 from 32 stocks or funds in dividends. This is due to a) not having a lot of dividend stocks that pay up in Februray, May, August & November, but also to b) some dividend stocks (e.g. Arbor Realty Trust, Hercules Capital) also paying their first dividend of the year in March instead of February. These months are a painful, but useful reminder as to how long the way still is.

YoY still represented a decent increase of 16,74%. After the blight of February, March should prove to be more fruitful month and the first month of the year in which I will finally suprass the aim of crossing 400€ a month.
