Dividend Update: March 23

This year, the stock market seems to know only one way: up, up, up, following Nvidia ;-)! And with possible interest rate cuts, there seems even greater anticipation for even more all-time highs, hopefully also in secors which were beaten down by increased rates (e.g. REITs) and in which I'm heavily invested in. As the earnings season trickled out in March, on the whole this was a rather relaxed month and I didn't pay too much attention to the daily noise of the stock market and was just happy to see all the dividends coming in. After falling short in January and February of the 400€ a month I had set out for this year, in March I passed this bar with flying colours and in fact recorded a record high in dividends in a single month. Suffice to say, this is a huge highlight for me and I'm thrilled about it. In summary, this all-time high is down to a couple of things:

  1. March, June, September and December are in general my biggest months.
  2. Some companies don't normally pay in these months, but only do so in March (Hercules Capital, Arbor Realty Trust) as they have a somewhat delayed payment schedule.
  3. There also were special dividends from Main Street, Golub Capital and Blue Owl Capital - hooray for that!

On the whole, I received an utterly gratifying 644.50 from 50 stocks and/or funds, which is a whopping increase of 39% YoY. I'll that any day.
