Dividend Update: August 24

How long should a vacation be in order to improve mental health? - Quora

August came and went as I travelled across Iceland, parts of Germany (visiting family & friends), France (hiking with my siblings) and Scotland (hiking in the highlands for a few days on my own) before I finally and unfortunately had to go back to work. With all these trips, I barely had time to check in on my portfolio, but in retrospect I can see that I also plunged in early August (on the perhaps rather melodramatically titled "Manic Monday"), but at the end of the month surged again as rate cuts were announced as possible by the FED. I honestly don't care either way at the moment - this endless discussion about a possible recession (which has been going on for at least a year or more) and the tea-leaf reading of the FED's possible actions has mostly bored me. If they cut them, stocks most likely continue to climb. If they don't, the stock market might dip a few more times and thus present me attractive buying opportunities. At the end of the day, it's out of my hands anyway - so why bother with all this speculation?

In the meantime, I collected 386.06 € in dividends from 36 stocks / funds. I had already sort of feared it, but the end calculation confirms it: February, August and November prove to be tricky months, but I'm slowly climbing towards the 400€ barrier. Below you find the complete list:

September should once against prove to me a more fruitful month and I'm looking forward to the dividends that are about to roll in. Still, work is going to keep my busy to not watch everything too closely, which I think is rather healthy.

Below I leave you with one impression from both Iceland (black sand) and a beautiful sunset in the mountains of France.
