February was primarily marked by what happened on the last day as Trump, the president so eager to get the Nobel Peace Prize, started another war on questionable and constantly changing grounds, a (by the looks of it) improvised exist strategy and unclear aims as to what the aims of this "excursion" as he likes to call it (Orwell would vomit) is set to achieve. I don't want to dwell too long on politics, but the geopolitical tensions are rising and rising and I would feel more comfortable knowing that there were cooler heads taking the decisions.
Geopolitics aside, February was marked by two personal highlights. As I had a week off, my better half and I did a very unprepared, helter-skelter trip to Cartagena, Colombia and enjoyed the sunny vibes, the Caribbean beaches and the crystal waters. This was a much-needed break after the stress of moving out of our old apartment and into a new one to avoid the construction site next to our bedroom and to save a little every month along the way for future trips. Below you find some pictures.
I also completed my next trail - the Chota Trail - which was roughly 18KM with a 1000m difference in altitude. Those climbs really get to you (your lungs bleed) and the downhill parts where you are jumping from spot to spot, making up the way as you go, are such an adrenaline-rush. I've already booked the next one for April.
February, as always, is my weakest month, but I collected 621,01€ in total, which I found it quite good. Considering that this (hopefully) is going to be not only the lowest month this year, but (fingers crossed) also for years to come, I'm not too unhappy. March should prove to be a more fruitful month. Below you find the full list of the 21 dividends I received from stocks and/or funds:

| Up and down the hill we go … :-) |
Those Caribbean sunsets - they make me think of President Obama speaking of his relaxed "Hawaiian" temperament. Seems easier to cultivate such a mind-set in such a place
I also browsed on metal-archives a bit and found this track of Arch Enemy with their new singer of the upcoming album. A bit poppy chorus, but I like it & I don't have the time for a full album right now |
